TRANSFER BATTLE: Arsenal and Tottenham ready to battle over £70 million-rated Bundesliga superstar with 16 goals; Ange Postecoglou not giving up

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are in dire need of a true striker to address any concerns about scoring goals that the North London giants may have.

While the Gunners have Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, and Spurs have relied on Richarlison and Son Heung-min, none of them can be considered a reliable goal scorer.

Ange Postecoglou’s tactical prowess and excellent recruitment have ensured that the Lilywhites have not missed Harry Kane so far. On the other hand, Mikel Arteta could only watch as his players missed numerous chances against Liverpool in a recent FA Cup tie, which ultimately saw the Reds progress.

It’s no surprise then that both Premier League clubs would be interested in RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda.

However, such a move may be financially out of reach for any club during this month’s transfer window, given the impact of Financial Fair Play regulations.

This means that both North London clubs, as well as any others interested in Openda, have the next six months to convince the player to join their ranks.
