Tottenham Hotspur are aggressively seeking a new midfielder before Thursday to strengthen their squad. They have already added Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin to their ranks this month, with Antonio Nusa also being pursued.
Conor Gallagher and Ederson have been linked to Spurs as potential midfield signings, but according to Fabrizio Romano, any move for these players depends on Tottenham finding a buyer for Hojbjerg.
Romano stated, “I don’t think it will be easy to go for this level of player [Ederson or Gallagher]. So, Tottenham must find a solution for Hojbjerg and other players; in that case, they can sign an important midfielder.”
Tottenham are on a tight deadline to make any big signings, and it appears they may be running out of time to secure a deal for a new midfielder. While the signing of Conor Gallagher would be significant, it seems increasingly unlikely given the limited time and financial constraints.
