West Ham United’s start to 2024 has been less than ideal. After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Bristol City and drawing against Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United in the Premier League, things are not looking great.
However, there are reasons for David Moyes and his team to be hopeful. They have reached the knockout stage of the Europa League and are currently in sixth place in the Premier League, above teams like Manchester United and Chelsea.
Additionally, the acquisition of Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City has added strength to the midfield, although the team is facing injuries to key offensive players. Moyes is eager to make moves in the transfer market before the window closes at the end of January.
West Ham is eyeing a late January transfer for teenage winger Ibrahim Osman and may use funds from the potential sale of Pablo Fornals to make it happen. Osman has impressed with his speed and attacking influence and, despite some deficiencies in his finishing, could be a valuable addition to the team.
Moyes sees Osman as an important asset, especially with the potential departures of Fornals and Said Benrahma. As the club continues to negotiate with Nordsjælland for the young winger, it’s clear that they see him as a player with great potential and a promising future.
