DEAL IN PROGRESS: £30M PLAYER’S FUTURE HAS BEEN DISCUSSED THIS MONTH AMID ADMIRATION FROM ARSENAL

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has addressed the potential departure of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with big clubs like Arsenal showing strong interest in the English midfielder.

Following their 3-0 victory over Birmingham City which secured their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup, Dewsbury-Hall was not involved in the match. Maresca spoke with Leicester Live about the 25-year-old’s situation.

According to HITC Football, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Everton are all keen on signing the talented central midfielder. As a result, Leicester has placed a £30m price tag on Dewsbury-Hall after Brighton & Hove Albion initiated discussions with him.

Losing Dewsbury-Hall before the upcoming transfer window deadline would be a significant setback for Leicester’s promotion hopes. The team had already lost Cesare Casadei, but they may potentially bring in a replacement player.

When asked about Dewsbury-Hall’s absence and his future with the team, Maresca stated that the decision to rest him was unrelated to his potential transfer. He also expressed confidence that Dewsbury-Hall would remain with Leicester after the upcoming deadline, noting that the final decision lies with the club.

Dewsbury-Hall has been a standout player in the Championship this season, with impressive performances and statistics. His potential departure has raised concerns for Maresca, who recognizes the value and impact of the 25-year-old midfielder.

Maresca also acknowledged that Dewsbury-Hall’s skill set and playing style would be a good fit for teams like Arsenal, especially as a replacement for Granit Xhaka. Despite this, the decision ultimately lies with the club in the face of potential offers from other Premier League teams.
