DONE DEAL-MEDICALS SCHEDULED; Transfer hijack: £30M Tottenham deal set to be hijacked by Brentford, agreement reached

Brentford FC has reached a preliminary agreement with Club Brugge for the acquisition of exciting young talent Antonio Nusa in a deal reportedly worth £25 million (€30 million). The agreement also includes a contingency for Nusa to remain on loan at Club Brugge for the remainder of the season. Although the deal is close to being finalized, Nusa has yet to undergo a medical examination before all aspects are officially confirmed.

Despite initial interest from Tottenham, it now appears that Nusa’s future lies with Brentford FC. Tottenham had also been engaged in negotiations for a similar arrangement, allowing Nusa to continue at Club Brugge on loan. However, it seems that Brentford is now positioned to secure the promising winger’s services.

As the winter transfer window deadline of 1st February approaches, it is worth noting that various European leagues, in consultation with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, LaLiga, and LFP, have coordinated to harmonize the closing dates for their transfer windows. This decision is aimed at ensuring consistency and alignment across major leagues in Europe.
