Leicester City is on the verge of sealing the deal for Stefano Sensi and is gearing up to welcome the Inter midfielder today.
The 28-year-old Italian midfielder sat on the bench during Inter’s 1-0 victory over Fiorentina on Sunday, marking what will likely be his final match with the club after a challenging four-and-a-half-year stint.
Enzo Maresca’s Leicester has reached an agreement to bring Sensi on board from Inter with a loan deal of €500,000 and a potential €2m purchase obligation based on their promotion to the Premier League.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the final paperwork is being finalized for Sensi’s transfer from Inter to Leicester, and he is expected to fly to England later today for medical exams and to complete the move.
The Italian midfielder’s time with Inter can be summed up with one word: regret. He showed promise in his first six games, scoring three goals and contributing four assists, but a string of injuries derailed his tenure at the club, ultimately pushing him to the sidelines.
