Tottenham are reportedly gearing up for a major push to bring Atalanta midfielder, Ederson, to their squad as they continue their search for reinforcements in the midfield. The Lilywhites are said to be determined to secure the Brazilian’s signature as they scour Serie A for potential new signings.
This pursuit of Ederson comes on the heels of Tottenham’s recent acquisitions from Italy, including Radu Dragusin, Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
The North London club is apparently in a race against Juventus to secure Ederson’s services, with the Serie A giants seeking immediate replacements for suspended players Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli. Despite reported interest from Tottenham and Fabio Paratici’s involvement, Atalanta has reportedly rebuffed their advances, setting the stage for a potential transfer battle.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Spurs will make any further additions in January, especially if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg remains at the club. It may be the case that any new midfielder and attacker will have to wait until the summer, when the transfer market is more conducive for deals and squad changes.
