Everton is reportedly mulling over a late move for Leicester City defender Harry Souttar in the January transfer window.

While Leeds United is eager to sign defender Ben Godfrey before the window closes, Everton will only allow the move if they can secure a suitable replacement, with Souttar being considered as a potential option.
Souttar has struggled to break into Enzo Maresca’s starting eleven, starting only twice so far this season. According to TeamTalk, a move to Everton would allow the Championship leaders to clear space in the squad and potentially sign a new player before the window shuts.
The 25-year-old, currently on international duty with Australia at the Asian Cup, is under contract until 2028 and would provide backup to Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski if he does make the move to Goodison Park.
