Enzo Maresca is on the brink of leading The Foxes to a record Championship points tally and securing their return to the Premier League. With relegation bringing a decrease in parachute payments each year, promotion is crucial for clubs in order to avoid financial issues. The Srivaddhanaprabha family, now led by Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, has put Leicester in a good financial position, with a fortune of £2.7billion making them one of the wealthiest owners in the Championship. However, they are rivalled by the Coates family at Stoke City, worth an astounding £8.75billion, and the 49ers Enterprises at Leeds United, valued at £4.5billion. Ipswich Town’s ownership, Gamechanger 20 Ltd, reportedly has a net worth of over £10billion. As the Championship becomes increasingly financially driven, the competition for promotion grows, but Leicester City seems to be in a strong position to return to the Premier League.
