Leicester City Failed With Late Bid To Sign Brazilian

Leicester City’s attempt to sign Gabriel Pereira, a centre-back from Gil Vicente, during the winter transfer window was unsuccessful, according to reports from Brazil.

The Foxes did manage to secure one new signing, bringing in Stefano Sensi from Inter Milan in the final hours of the transfer period. Financial fair play constraints meant that Leicester needed to offload players before bringing in new ones.

Despite these limitations, Leicester also had their sights set on Lucas Beraldo from Sao Paulo, who ultimately went to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

According to UOL Esporte, Leicester also made a move to acquire Gil Vicente’s 23-year-old Pereira. However, the Portuguese club stood firm in their decision not to sell the defender to Leicester during the winter window, instead planning to hold onto him until the summer before considering any offers.
