Getting to Vicarage Road from the North by car is a straightforward journey. Simply join the M25 and follow it until Junction 20, then exit and follow the signs for Hempstead Road which will lead you into central Watford. From there, follow the roundabout system at the end of Hempstead Road and exit towards Rickmansworth A412. After turning left at the end of the underpass, continue through two traffic lights and turn left onto ‘The Hornets’ at the East end of Vicarage Road.Alternatively, you can take the A4008 into Watford if you’re coming from the M1 at Junction 5. For those coming from the South, you can join the M25 and head north past M4/Heathrow, then past the M40 Oxford Exit at Junction 16. Take the exit at Junction 18 and head towards Rickmansworth, then onto Croxley Green. From there, it’s a short drive to Vicarage Road.As for parking, there is no parking available for fans at the ground. Street parking is restricted to local residents, so it’s best to use the town center car parks, with the Church Car Park being the closest to Vicarage Road. Additionally, there are private match day car parks available at some industrial units near the ground, as well as schools close to the stadium that offer parking for a fee.If you prefer to take the train, the nearest station is Watford High Street, a ten-minute walk away from the ground. Watford Junction train station is about a 20-minute walk and the London Underground tube station is also an option for transport to Vicarage Road. For those looking for a drink before the match, the ‘Odd Fellows’ (previously called ‘Macs Bar’) in Fearnley Street is recommended.
