PLAYER’S EXIT: Leeds United confirmed Playmaker’s exit amidst contract with PL club

A transfer which has been on the cards for a while is finally confirmed, as AFC Bournemouth has successfully acquired the services of Colombian international winger Luis Sinisterra in a move from Leeds United. The exact fee for which Sinisterra was transferred remains undisclosed but is believed to be in the region of £20 million.

The 24-year-old Luis Sinisterra had joined Leeds United just one full season before the transfer, seeing the Whites being demoted to the Championship. Sinisterra then made a season-long loan move to Bournemouth towards the tail end of last summer’s transfer window. His exit from Elland Road was in line with the terms of his contract, mirroring the departures of other first-team players following Leeds’ relegation.

Leeds United officially confirmed Sinisterra’s departure with a brief statement released on a Friday afternoon, making it crystal clear that the Colombian attacker had officially moved on.

Signing from Dutch club Feyenoord only 18 months ago, Sinisterra had come to Leeds for a sum in the region of €25 million. During his time with the Whites, he managed to find the back of the net eight times in 26 appearances.

Upon his move to Bournemouth, Sinisterra expressed his excitement about joining the Cherries, stating that he is looking forward to a long-term stay with the club. He also emphasized that he feels comfortable and settled in his new environment and is excited about the remainder of the season. His words reflect his genuine enthusiasm about this new chapter in his career.
