Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is adamantly against participating in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t willing to lend a hand to his teammate. It has been announced that fellow Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown will be competing in the 2024 Dunk Contest and there is speculation that he may ask Tatum to assist him during the event. Brown expressed his desire to have Tatum’s help, and Tatum himself confirmed that he would be open to the idea. This marks Brown’s first time participating in the Dunk Contest, and his exceptional performance in games makes him a strong contender for the event. Despite his slightly lower scoring average this season, Brown has been instrumental in helping lead the Celtics to the top spot in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 40-12 record. Before they can focus on the All-Star weekend, they have upcoming games against the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets.
