£150,000-PER-WEEK DEAL CONFIRMED: Tottenham set official bid for £150,000-per-week most sought after talent

Tottenham, a rival club insider revealed, has made it known they are planning to make a move for a “class act” this summer, who would command a £150,000-per-week salary.

There has been much talk about manager Ange Postecoglou’s desire to bring in a midfielder who can provide great running, along with reports in January that he wants someone who can alternate with James Maddison. The Australian manager has expressed interest in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, but is also considering alternatives in case Gallagher renews his contract with Chelsea.

One potential target mentioned is Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey, who was identified as a player Tottenham is keen on, The Athletic reported last month. The 22-year-old Ramsey can play both forward and in the midfield, and Tottenham is said to be compiling a list of potential summer signings.

Despite seeing impressive performances from players like Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr, the recent trips to AFCON highlight the need for quality alternatives, especially with the inconsistent form of Rodrigo Bentancur and uncertainty surrounding Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future at Spurs.

According to West Ham insider Claret & Hugh, Tottenham is also considering a bid for Lucas Paqueta, along with other top clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa, Man United, and Man City. The deal is pending the resolution of an investigation into gambling breaches. Paqueta, who has been West Ham’s top performer by match rating this season, has drawn high praise and has been described as a “class act” by former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
