SAD NEWS: Another Newcastle Game – Another Newcastle Injury

Marcel Bout, formerly a scout for Manchester United, was in attendance at Newcastle United’s match against Bournemouth, where they played to a dramatic draw. Bout joined Newcastle as a scout in November after leaving Old Trafford. His appearance at the game comes amidst speculation about the future of Newcastle’s sporting director Dan Ashworth, who has been linked to a move to Manchester United.

Reports from ChronicleLive suggest that Bout was in attendance at a scouting summit with the club and that there are concerns about Ashworth potentially passing on transfer knowledge to United. Despite this, Ashworth continued to attend planned meetings with scouts as scheduled.

Bout, who was previously described as a “welcome addition” by Newcastle boss Eddie, has a history with former United boss Louis van Gaal and has been both an opposition analyst and head of global scouting at Old Trafford. He has been critical of the way Manchester United has been run in the past, particularly regarding decision-making processes and political influences within the club.
