MORE INJURY CRISIS: Latest Leeds United injury news as five players to miss Leicester City clash

Leicester City will take on Leeds United in a crucial Championship match, hoping to bounce back from their loss to Middlesbrough. Despite sitting nine points clear of Leeds, this gap could change as they face Daniel Farke’s team at Elland Road.

Leeds, fresh off a 2-0 win against Plymouth, are managing challenges due to a packed schedule. Farke expects to be without five players for the match against City. Strikers Wilfried Gnonto and Georginio Rutter have shown their strength alongside Crysencio Summerville, but Farke has confirmed that striker Patrick Bamford will not be available due to a calf injury.

Full-back Sam Byram and defender Pascal Struijk will also miss the match due to injury, impacting Leeds’ defensive setup. Holding midfielder Ethan Ampadu has stepped in to partner Joe Rodon in the absence of Struijk. Backup goalkeeper Karl Darlow is expected to return soon, but there is still no set date for Stuart Dallas to return to full fitness after suffering a femoral fracture in April 2022.

Farke stated, “Stuart gets all the time he needs…we back him, he sees different consultants and tries everything to work in the most professional way. Don’t want to put any pressure on him in terms of giving a time frame.”
