West Ham & Tottenham Hotspur transfer target reacts to joining Newcastle United

“I’m thrilled to be joining Newcastle United and am eager to prove myself in the first team,” says 18-year-old midfielder Alfie Harrison. The talented youngster made the switch from Manchester City to Newcastle on January transfer deadline day, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract. Despite interest from several other clubs, Harrison was drawn to the passionate fanbase and the clear pathway to first-team action at Newcastle. Attending a recent match at St James’ Park only fueled his excitement for the move.

“I’m excited to be joining such a big club with a passionate fanbase,” said Harrison. “The interest the club showed in me was a big factor in my decision, and I really like the place. The atmosphere at St James’ Park was unbelievable when I attended the game against Luton.”

With an impressive record of eight goals in eight Premier League under-18s games for Man City this season, Harrison is determined to make an impact at Newcastle. “I believe in my own ability and I’m ready to work hard to make it to the first team,” he added.

Following his debut for Newcastle’s under-21s team, Harrison is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as he aims to progress in the coming years.
