Everton is reportedly considering asking for £20m to £25m from Tottenham and Newcastle for the transfer of James Garner in the upcoming summer window. The club originally signed Garner from Manchester United for £15m in 2022 and is now looking to make a profit if they have to let him go.
According to reports, Sean Dyche may have a tough time keeping Garner at Everton beyond the summer, especially if they end up in the Championship due to financial reasons. Garner has had a successful season, starting in 22 out of 30 games for Everton.
Tottenham and Newcastle are both interested in Garner, with reports suggesting that Tottenham sees him as a potential alternative to Conor Gallagher. However, there are doubts about whether Garner would be a significant upgrade for Tottenham, especially with another signing, Lucas Bergvall, on the horizon. It is speculated that Tottenham would rather spend big on someone like Conor Gallagher instead of Garner.
