Former scout Bryan King explains that for Carlisle United to receive a sell-on fee for Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite would be a major financial boost for the club, almost equivalent to them achieving Premier League status. It has been revealed that the club included a 10 per cent sell-on clause in the deal, potentially earning them a significant cash influx if Branthwaite is sold for big money. With interest from top clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Real Madrid, the Toffees could stand to gain £7million from the deal. King expressed support for such arrangements, as it helps to keep money within the game and provides crucial financial support for smaller clubs like Carlisle. Despite the negative attention surrounding Everton’s proposed takeover and points deduction, Branthwaite’s impressive performances on the field have been a bright spot for the club.
