Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot has shared that the two best goals he has witnessed live were scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and Alejandro Garnacho. He emphasized that while Garnacho, who looks up to Ronaldo, should carve his own path in the game. Dalot was the one who set up Garnacho’s incredible bicycle kick against Everton in November, ranking it among the best goals he has seen in person, along with Ronaldo’s long-range strike for United against Porto in the Champions League in 2009.
In an exclusive interview with GOAL after signing with PUMA, Dalot said, “I’ve seen two amazing goals live, one was Cristiano in Dragao against Porto, I was in the stands. And then the other one was this one, watching live it’s the two best goals I’ve seen.” He added that it’s important for Garnacho to find his own identity in the sport, despite looking up to great players like Ronaldo.
Both Garnacho and Dalot have played crucial roles in United’s recent winning streak, giving the team hope of finishing in the top four and returning to the Champions League. Dalot expressed his desire to finish with a trophy and secure a spot in the Champions League, despite a challenging start to the season.
United will seek to continue their winning form and intensify the pressure on fourth-placed Aston Villa when they face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.
