Keith Wyness, former Everton chief, has called out the Premier League and suggested that Everton may be able to sue Manchester City for points in a new twist. On the Inside Track podcast, Wyness slammed the top-flight for the delays in addressing Man City’s 115 Financial Fair Play charges. City’s case has yet to be heard by an independent commission, leading to frustration and potential consequences for other clubs. Everton, who have already been charged and penalized for a breach of the Profitability and Sustainability Rules, could potentially face another points deduction for a separate breach. Wyness expressed disbelief at the delay and proposed that if City is found guilty and Everton is innocent, Everton could sue to recover the lost points. He called the situation “ridiculous” and criticized the Premier League for mishandling the issue.
