“IMMINENT DECISION” David Moyes admits West Ham future unclear despite contract being ready to sign

David Moyes is in no rush to make a decision about his future at West Ham, insisting he wants to ensure it is the right move for him, the club, and his family. After facing mounting pressure from fans following a disappointing eight-game winless streak, Moyes revealed that a new contract is on the table, but he is taking his time to evaluate the situation.

The Scotsman emphasized that he wants to make certain he is still the best fit for the club before making any commitment. Despite the offer from the club, Moyes stated, “I’m not in a hurry. What I have said is that I will always honor my contracts, that is one thing I will do.”

Amidst criticism from supporters over his style of play during the team’s recent slump, Moyes acknowledged that the expectations have been raised following the club’s success last season. While acknowledging that there may be times when change is necessary, Moyes pointed out that West Ham has been in a strong position and that the team’s achievements have pushed expectations higher.

As the oldest manager in the Premier League following Roy Hodgson’s departure from Crystal Palace, Moyes also addressed the increasing pressure on managers in the current football climate. He remained open to evaluating his future at the end of the season but for now is focused on fulfilling his current contract.
