“INTENTIONAL CONFLICT” Neal Maupay sends message to 32-year-old Brighton star after Everton draw

Neal Maupay continues to create conflict with his parent club Everton, despite being set to return to them at the end of the season. It seems that he is intentionally making it known that he no longer wants to play for them, after they paid £15m for his services.

Maupay, a controversial figure, has failed to endear himself to Everton supporters, particularly after a disappointing first year at Goodison Park. He has publicly criticized Evertonians for their treatment of him and is now behaving as if he has permanently joined Brentford.

His latest action involved congratulating Brighton and Hove Albion’s Lewis Dunk on Instagram after he scored a late equalizer against Everton. This was seen as a disrespectful move by someone employed by Everton.

Although it’s unlikely Maupay would have returned to play under manager Sean Dyche due to his smaller size and lack of success, he has poorly handled voicing his desire to leave. His underwhelming performance last season, juxtaposed with the positive attitude of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, has further damaged his reputation with the fans.

Maupay’s behavior, including the recent incident with Dunk, has made his future at Everton unsustainable.
