Micheal Richard absolutely wowed by magnificent Everton player as footage emerges

Despite Everton’s lack of Premier League wins in 2024, young defender Jarrad Branthwaite continues to make a name for himself. The 21-year-old recently expressed a desire to score more goals, and he certainly delivered in a surprising manner by netting the opening goal for Everton against Brighton. Despite a late goal from Lewis Dunk, Branthwaite’s performance did not go unnoticed.

Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, football pundit Micah Richards showered praise on Branthwaite for his aggressive qualities, hailing him as a “magnificent” defender. Richards even went as far as to suggest that Branthwaite could be a potential candidate for the Euros if he continues to perform at such a high level.

As Everton awaits the verdict of an appeal, they continue to struggle to secure victories. Drawing 1-1 against Crystal Palace and failing to defeat a ten-man Brighton has left the Toffees in a difficult position. However, Branthwaite’s impressive form provides a glimmer of hope for the team.

Last season, Branthwaite’s loan spell at PSV Eindhoven helped him grow as a player, and this season he has become a regular starter for Everton, contributing two goals in 23 Premier League appearances. With his continued success, there is a possibility that Gareth Southgate may consider including him in the England squad for the Euros.
