‘SAD REVELATION’ Sean Dyche confirms Everton double injury blow after Brighton draw

During Everton’s 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, Sean Dyche disclosed that Idrissa Gana Gueye had to leave the game due to a groin injury. Their team seemed on the path to their first Premier League win in nine matches after Jarrad Branthwaite scored an impressive goal in the 73rd minute. Additionally, Brighton faced adversity when Billy Gilmour was red-carded for a reckless tackle on Amadou Onana.

However, despite being down to 10 players, Brighton managed to make a comeback with Lewis Dunk scoring a 95th-minute equaliser. Gueye, who had just returned from the African Cup of Nations, had to be substituted in the 48th minute due to his injury. Dyche confirmed that the midfielder is dealing with a groin issue and will undergo assessment.

Moreover, Lewis Dobbin was not included in the Everton squad. The 21-year-old has played in 13 matches this season. Dyche expressed hope for a speedy recovery for Dobbin.

Following the draw, Everton is just one point above the relegation zone.
