Tottenham could potentially break their transfer record and beat out Arsenal for the signing of a dynamic Premier League winger. The current record buy for Spurs is the £60m paid to Everton to bring in Richarlison in 2022. The Brazilian has been a strong addition to the team, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances this season and has helped mitigate the goals lost after the departure of Harry Kane. Rather than finding a direct replacement for Kane, there is speculation that Spurs might not be looking for a new striker at all. Instead, they seem to be eyeing a move out wide, with growing links to Wolves’ Pedro Neto. The 23-year-old Portuguese player has made a significant impact this season, contributing to 11 goals in 17 Premier League matches. Both Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in Neto, with his potential high price tag attracting them. It’s unclear how much Wolves would ask for Neto, but it’s expected that his value will only rise as he continues to shine in the Premier League. Wolves are likely to wait until closer to the summer to negotiate a deal for Neto with interested clubs. If he maintains his impressive form, Wolves could potentially command a fee even higher than the £60m that is currently being discussed.
