Injured and unable to play in recent games, Tanguy Ndombele, who is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Tottenham, has faced criticism from the Turkish media. While he did get a brief reprieve, he could not evade it completely as his transfer, along with those of Hakim Ziyech, Tete, and Wilfried Zaha, have not lived up to expectations. Tugay Kerimoğlu, speaking after Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Antalyaspor, expressed displeasure with the performance of the four major foreign transfers made by the Süper Lig side last summer. He voiced frustration over the lackluster play from Tete, Ziyech, and Ndombele, suggesting that they may be causing harm to the team. Tugay urged Galatasaray to consider parting ways with these players if they continue to underperform. Ndombele, who has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup, has not met the high expectations set for him, resulting in criticism from both media and pundits despite the significant investment in his wages by Galatasaray.
