What in-form Premier League star said about a potential England call-up for the Euro’s

After performing impressively and scoring his first senior hat-trick during West Ham’s 4-2 win over Brentford on Monday, Jarrod Bowen is determined to continue his momentum and earn a spot in the England squad for the upcoming March internationals. His recent form has been exceptional, as he helped West Ham secure their first victory of 2024 and put an end to a disappointing streak of eight winless matches.

England will face Brazil at Wembley on March 23, followed by a friendly against Belgium three days later, as they prepare for Euro 2024. Gareth Southgate will soon announce the squad for these important matches.

When asked about his chances of making the squad, Bowen confidently replied, “That all takes care of itself.” With 14 goals to his name this season, he has equaled the goal count of Ollie Watkins and Dominic Solanke. This season has been his most successful so far, surpassing his previous record of 12 goals in the 2021/22 season.

This was the 16th time in his senior career that Bowen scored two goals in a single game but the first time he completed a hat-trick. He shared, “I’ve had a couple of times where I’ve had two goals and never got the hat-trick. It was on my mind at half-time [tonight].”

While he was not selected for England’s World Cup squad in 2022, Bowen is determined to prove himself and secure a spot in the European Championship squad this summer.
