This leapfrogged them over Nottingham Forest and Brentford, leaving Burnley with an 11-point gap to safety.
Despite this, Everton still face a second charge after the release of their 2022/23 financial accounts. The appeal for this charge is set to take place with a verdict expected before the 2023/24 season ends. While further deductions could benefit Burnley, manager Kompany is focused solely on his team and their upcoming matches, not concerning himself with the situation surrounding Everton.
