“SAD NEWS” Winger and four others to miss out at Goodison today: Everton early team news v West Ham United

Everton early team news v West Ham United: Six Toffees players could be ruled out at Goodison

Lewis Dobbin is a maybe for Saturday’s (2 March) Premier League match between Everton and West Ham, as reported by the Daily Mail.

In the newspaper’s printed version [2 March, page 6 sport pull-out], an early update on the team’s condition was shared before the game, where David Moyes will return to his former club.

Sean Dyche has already confirmed that Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana are uncertain, while Arnaut Danjuma and Dele Alli are out.

It is also said that Andre Gomes and Dobbin are doubtful for the West Ham visit in Everton’s first game after having four points reinstated.

Everton could possibly be without six players against West Ham United. While Dyche would like to have Gomes, Dobbin, and Danjuma available for squad selection, the priority is to get Gueye and Onana fit.

Gueye has started 17 Premier League games this season, while Onana has played 16 times from the beginning of a top-flight game.

Dobbin has only started once so far, but he has been a regular substitute of late and has already scored one goal.

Everton has two games left before the international break, giving any injured players a further fortnight to rest up during that period.

Even in the worse case scenario, without any of those aforementioned names, Everton still has their chances of overcoming West Ham.

And after being awarded some points back, a win at home would significantly lift the dark clouds above Goodison Park for the first time in a while.
