“REVENGE” WIDE-RANGING: Antonio Conte to take revenge on Tottenham by blocking deal for Harry Kane replacement

Antonio Conte is rumored to be determined to thwart Tottenham’s interest in Joshua Zirkzee should he become the new Bayern Munich manager. Controversially sacked by Spurs last April, Conte is now in line to take over at the Allianz Arena in place of Thomas Tuchel.

After departing Tottenham on a sour note, where he publicly criticized his players following a draw with Southampton, Conte may have the opportunity to have the final say in his next role.

Rumors suggest that Zirkzee is a target for Spurs ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The former Bayern striker has been in fine form since joining Bologna, scoring a total of 13 goals in 51 appearances, including 11 this season.

With Harry Kane potentially on the move, Zirkzee could be seen as the ideal replacement for the English striker at Spurs. However, if Conte takes the helm at Bayern, he is said to be ready to block any potential move for the young forward.

Italian journalist Marcello Giordano has reported that Conte has recommended Zirkzee as a potential signing to clubs interested in him, including Bayern. The German club has the option to buy Zirkzee back from Bologna for £34m (€40m).

Other clubs have been quoted a staggering £51m (€60m) to acquire Zirkzee in the summer transfer window. Should Conte make the move to Bayern, he could use the financial advantage to get even with Spurs for their lack of a true replacement for Kane last season.
