Reo Hatate Celtic injury return timeline as Brendan Rodgers details Rangers chance

Brendan Rodgers has announced that Reo Hatate will be participating in a Celtic friendly match next week in hopes of preparing the midfielder to potentially face Rangers next month.

Since sustaining an injury in January against St Mirren, Hatate has been unable to play due to the setback, which originally occurred in October. As a crucial player for the Hoops, Rodgers is eager to have Hatate back on the field after observing his training sessions with the team this week.

In order to aid several players in regaining match fitness and advancing their physical condition, the manager has organized a bounce game for the upcoming week, with Hatate being one of the participants.

Rodgers stated, “Yes, that’s the strategy. We aim to provide Reo with some playing time and help him progress. We will engage in some training exercises with the players, host a game, and assist some of them in reaching their peak fitness levels. Reo will play a significant role for us.”

Throughout the season, Rodgers and Celtic have encountered various challenges, including player injuries. Despite these obstacles, the team remains competitive and in a favorable position. Rodgers expressed his anticipation for the upcoming competition as they head into the final phase of the season.
