Celtic set to unleash Leeds to snatch up dazzling £25m sensation as Farke fights tooth and nail with Brighton to address sole deficiency

Leeds United is reportedly eyeing a summer move for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley as they aim to strengthen their squad for next season. The Whites are determined to bolster their ranks and address a perceived weakness in the team under Daniel Farke’s management.

Leeds has been on an impressive run of form this year, winning 12 out of their last 13 Championship games to climb to the top of the table. However, with a tight promotion race on their hands, they cannot afford to slip up with Leicester and Ipswich hot on their heels.

As they prepare for the possibility of life in the Premier League or the Championship next season, Leeds is looking to secure star defender Joe Rodon on a permanent deal and tie down loanee Connor Roberts. They are also considering potential summer signings, with their midfield being a key area for improvement.

In a bid to add more goals from midfield, Leeds has set their sights on Celtic’s O’Riley, who has been in impressive form for the Scottish side. The 23-year-old has caught the attention of several clubs, including West Ham and Atletico Madrid, but Brighton is seen as their strongest competition for his signature.

O’Riley has been praised by his current and former managers for his intelligence, professionalism, and footballing ability. With a contract at Celtic until 2027, he has proven himself as a valuable asset with 19 goals in 109 appearances for the club.

Leeds is also reportedly targeting a Newcastle midfielder as they look to strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead.
