Leeds almost scored their second goal just before half-time after a scramble in the Hull penalty area. Coyle struggled to clear the ball, but his teammates were able to bail him out.
Goodman, speaking on Sky Sports Main Event, commented on the missed opportunity, saying, “It was a terrible header from Coyle, but Hull managed to defend the situation. Bamford was offside because he was ahead of the goalkeeper.”
Leeds United had multiple chances to score against Hull City, and their failure to capitalize on those opportunities could have cost them the game. Patrick Bamford’s missed chances in the first half would not have pleased manager Daniel Farke.
The atmosphere at Elland Road contributed to the excitement of the match, and it was a fitting backdrop for the Easter Monday clash. Despite their win, Leeds still have areas to improve if they want to secure a top-two finish in the league.
