Joey Barton has unleashed a scathing tirade against Greg Taylor years after the Celtic defender’s brutal tackle on the former Rangers player.
During Barton’s brief stint at Ibrox, Taylor was still playing for Kilmarnock before making his move to Celtic. In a league match between Rangers and Kilmarnock, Taylor dished out a horrific tackle on Barton which resulted in the Englishman being sent off.
The incident resurfaced on social media, prompting Barton to react. The outspoken footballer, known for his controversial comments, was once again in the spotlight for his criticism of women’s football. This time, he questioned Ian Wright about the outcome of a match between boys’ and girls’ teams at the Arsenal academy.
In response, a Celtic fan shared a video of Taylor’s dangerous challenge on Barton, showing the defender lunging at him with a reckless tackle.
Clearly rattled by the reminder, Barton fired back, declaring his superiority over Taylor and accusing him of attempting to injure him with the reckless challenge. He threatened to confront Taylor if they ever crossed paths, promising to expose his actions on social media for all to see.
