Outrageous Outburst: Ipswich Town Striker Slams Championship Team of the Year Selections and Claims Leeds United Trio Dominate

The newest member of the Suffolk club didn’t hold back on social media by calling Morsy’s absence from the EFL Awards Team of the Season ‘ridiculous’. Despite this, Ipswich had reasons to celebrate as their head coach, Kieran McKenna, won Championship Manager of the Year, left-back Leif Davis was included in the Team of the Season, and right-winger Wes Burns won EFL Goal of the Year for his spectacular trivela effort earlier in the season at Portman Road.

Over at Leeds, three players made it into the division’s Best XI. Crysencio Summerville, Ethan Ampadu, and Georginio Rutter were all present at the awards ceremony in London, with Summerville also winning Championship Player of the Season.

“Congratulations to @Leifdavis_3, @wesley__burns, and the boss on their EFL awards. Well-deserved! However, I can’t believe @sammorsy08 wasn’t included in the Team of the Season,” Al-Hamadi tweeted.

Morsy has been a key player for Ipswich this season, making 39 appearances and contributing three goals and five assists. Despite his impressive performances, he was snubbed in favor of other central midfielders. Al-Hamadi, who joined Ipswich from AFC Wimbledon in January, has quickly adapted to Championship football and has scored four goals in his first 280 minutes of play at this level, bringing his season total to 21 goals.

Ipswich’s remaining fixtures include matches against Hull City and Coventry City away before finishing the season with a game against Huddersfield Town at Portman Road.
