Fulham and Ipswich Town are reportedly in the race to secure the signature of Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Having previously been a part of Arsenal’s youth system, Sheaf has since had successful loan stints before permanently joining Coventry in 2021, where he has become a pivotal player for manager Mark Robins.
Sheaf played a crucial role in Coventry’s Championship playoff finals and FA Cup journey in the 2022-23 season, even captaining the team during a remarkable comeback in the cup semi-final.
Despite having a contract with Coventry until 2026, Sheaf is rumored to be contemplating a move to the Premier League, with Fulham and Ipswich Town expressing interest in his services.
Reports suggest that the clubs would need to fork out around £10m to secure Sheaf’s services from the Sky Blues, with both teams eager to bolster their squads for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
While Fulham are eyeing a new midfielder amidst uncertainties surrounding Joao Palhinha, Ipswich is gearing up for their return to the top flight following promotion.
Luton Town may also reignite their pursuit of Sheaf, but their chances will hinge on their Premier League survival bid.
