Massive war of words erupts between Celtic and Rangers as McCoist is publicly challenged

Energetic Celtic enthusiast Alan Brazil wasted no time in stirring up the rivalry ahead of the upcoming derby, playfully poking fun at Ally McCoist during his talkSPORT broadcast this morning.

Brazil jokingly suggested that McCoist’s absence from the show was a sign of doubt in Rangers’ chances in the crucial clash at Celtic Park tomorrow. Despite McCoist’s usual reluctance to appear on Friday mornings, Brazil couldn’t resist taunting his longtime verbal sparring partner.

With Celtic currently sitting three points ahead at the top of the Premiership table with a superior goal difference, a victory for Rangers in the derby is essential to keep their championship dreams alive. The two Glasgow teams will face off one final time this season in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on May 25.

In addition, the nominees for the Scottish Football Writers’ Player of the Year award have been announced, with Lawrence Shankland, Jack Butland, Matt O’Riley, and Bojan Miovski in the running. Shankland and Butland have been standout stars this season, while O’Riley has impressed under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic. Miovski’s goal-scoring abilities for Aberdeen have also earned him recognition on the esteemed list.
