After being relegated from the Premier League, Burnley is gearing up for the challenges of life in the Championship. Despite their impressive Championship title win with 101 points last season, their transition to the top flight did not go as smoothly as expected. With only five wins this season, Burnley’s fate was sealed with their recent defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
There are speculations about a possible managerial change at Burnley, with reports suggesting that current manager Kompany might consider his future with the team. Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford are said to be eyeing Kompany, but Coventry City’s Mark Robins is also being considered as a potential replacement.
However, Coventry fans like Neil Littlewood believe that Robins is unlikely to leave the club for Burnley or any other team unless it’s a top-tier club like Manchester United. With Robins currently focused on leading Coventry to the Premier League, it seems improbable that he would be swayed by offers from other clubs.
Despite Burnley’s resources and recent Premier League status, it is doubtful that Robins would be tempted to switch teams. With both Burnley and Coventry aiming for a strong Championship campaign, it will be interesting to see how things unfold in the upcoming season.
