Coventry City proudly announce their latest summer signing, as they have officially secured the talents of Raphael Borges Rodrigues. Mark Robins, the club’s manager, describes the 20-year-old winger as both talented and athletic.
Rodrigues, who hails from the Netherlands but holds dual Brazilian-Australian nationality, joins the Sky Blues from Australian club Macarthur FC for an undisclosed fee pending EFL and FA approval. He has signed a four-year contract with Coventry City, set to begin next month and run until June 2028.
“We are thrilled to have Rapha join us,” said Robins. “His impressive performances in the 2023/24 season show his potential. With his skills and eagerness to learn, I have no doubt he will thrive and grow during his time here.”
Having started his career at Melbourne City Academy, Rodrigues made a name for himself with Melbourne City before moving to Macarthur FC in June 2023. Last season was particularly successful for him, scoring six goals in 33 appearances for the club.
Primarily right-footed, Rodrigues is versatile and can play on both the left and right wings. His arrival adds depth to the squad, especially with the presence of winger Ephron Mason-Clark, signed from Peterborough United, expected to compete for a place on the left flank alongside Tatsuhiro Sakamoto on the right.
