Celtic TV didn’t hold back in their scathing criticism of Rangers following the Scottish Cup final in 2024.
Gerry McCulloch wasn’t buying Philippe Clement’s claims that yet another rebuild is necessary at Ibrox. It had only been a year since the likes of Morelos, Kent, and Helander had left, prompting a major revamp of the team under Michael Beale’s guidance for the 2023/24 season. However, Beale was soon replaced by Clement after just two months.
As Celtic celebrated their victory, Clement spoke openly about the need for more changes at Rangers, especially after losing the Premiership title to their rivals and suffering defeats in most derby matches.
McCulloch couldn’t help but point out the recurring theme of constant rebuilds at Rangers, poking fun at them as they received their losers’ medals at Hampden. He noted that every season seems to bring talk of a new era and the need for a fresh start.
It’s clear that tensions are high between the two clubs, with both determined to outshine the other in the upcoming seasons.
