Newly promoted Ipswich Town are leading the race to sign Ryan Sessegnon on a free transfer this summer, with Crystal Palace and Wolves also considering making a move for the left-back. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to let Sessegnon leave as they undergo squad changes, with several Premier League clubs interested in acquiring the 24-year-old’s services.
Although Spurs have the option to extend Sessegnon’s contract by a year, they are unlikely to do so as the player is eager to depart and the club does not want to hinder his wishes. Ipswich Town are said to be front-runners in securing his signature, with plans to utilize him as a left-winger rather than a left-back.
However, negotiations for Sessegnon’s transfer to Portman Road are in the early stages and no deal has been reached yet. It is hoped that the player can put his previous injury concerns behind him and make a significant impact for whichever Premier League club he ends up joining.
