Coleraine FC proudly announced the signing of Cameron Stewart, a former Northern Ireland youth international. The 21-year-old defender, who was recently released by Ipswich Town, had just completed a successful loan spell at Cove Rangers in Scottish League One. Stewart also had a short loan stint at Crusaders during the 2022/23 season.
Growing up as a fan of Coleraine, being able to play for the team is a dream come true for Cameron. “My dad’s side of the family are all massive fans, so growing up we went to all the games, so it means a bit more to me now being a player,” he shared.
Head coach Dean Shiels expressed his excitement about Stewart joining the team, praising his potential and experience playing at a high level in Scotland. Shiels expects Stewart to thrive under the full-time professional environment at Coleraine.
In other transfer news, former Larne defender Kofi Balmer is on the verge of moving to Motherwell, as Crystal Palace and the Scottish club have agreed on a transfer fee. Balmer is expected to undergo a medical and complete the move to Fir Park shortly.
Stephen Mallon, a former Cliftonville winger, has signed an 18-month deal with Sligo Rovers, with the Belfast native set to join the Irish club on July 1 pending international transfer clearance.
Lastly, Dundela announced the departure of William Faulkner, while Institute secured the signing of midfielder Niall McGinley from Dergview.
