DONE DEAL -Fabrizio Romano drops Bombshell as Celtic’s dream goalkeeper Dumps Celtic for Saudi Deal.

Fabrizio Romano, a well-known Italian football journalist, has confirmed that Celtic’s reported goalkeeping target, Koen Casteels, has signed a deal to join a Saudi Arabian team. The Belgian goalkeeper, who has completed a move to the newly promoted Saudi Pro League side, was previously linked with a move to Celtic.

Romano shared the news on Twitter, stating that Casteels’ transfer means one less target for Celtic to pursue. Earlier reports had suggested that Celtic were interested in bringing Casteels to their team.

With 274 appearances for Wolfsburg under his belt, Casteels bid an emotional farewell to the club last week. Despite his international status and the lack of a transfer fee involved, several clubs are expected to keep a close eye on the goalkeeper.

In the search for a new goalkeeper, Celtic have been linked with players like Aro Muric from Burnley, Alex McCarthy from Southampton, and Ugurcan Cakir from Trabzonspor. It seems the club is keen on acquiring a goalkeeper with experience, following the departure of Joe Hart who made a significant impact on and off the pitch during his time at Celtic.
