Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town, has expressed his admiration for Cardiff City midfielder Rubin Colwill. However, it seems that Colwill is likely to remain with his current club, according to journalist Darren Witcoop.
As McKenna prepares his Ipswich squad for life in the Premier League, he is considering various players to bring to Portman Road. Colwill is one of the players that McKenna values highly and he may consider making a move for him.
Despite interest from other Premier League clubs, it appears that Colwill will stay at Cardiff for the time being. The 22-year-old midfielder played 36 matches for Cardiff in the Championship last season, scoring a goal against Bristol City.
Colwill also faced McKenna’s Ipswich team in Championship matches. With a contract at Cardiff until 2027, the club is eager to keep hold of him. Colwill has also represented Wales at the international level, most recently playing in a friendly against Gibraltar.
