SAD NEWS: Celtic rocked by devastating news of Landry N’Guemo’s tragic death – ‘shocked and shattered’ by the heartbreaking loss

Celtic Football Club is devastated by the untimely passing of former player Landry N’Guemo at the age of 38, the club has confirmed.

N’Guemo, a former Cameroon international who spent a season on loan at Celtic from Nancy, tragically lost his life in a road accident in his home country.

In a heartfelt statement, the club expressed their shock and sadness at the news of N’Guemo’s passing, sending thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time.

After retiring from playing, N’Guemo returned to Nancy to coach the Under-16s team. Despite not securing a permanent deal at Celtic, he went on to have a successful career in France, Turkey, and Norway.

With over 40 appearances for Celtic, N’Guemo was a respected player under both Tony Mowbray and Neil Lennon. At the international level, he represented Cameroon 42 times, scoring three goals.

The Cameroonian Football Federation also issued a statement mourning N’Guemo’s passing, remembering him as a key player for the national team and extending their deepest condolences to his loved ones and the football community.
