Ange Postecoglou is set to have discussions with Archie Gray on June 30th in order to persuade him to choose Tottenham if he decides to leave Leeds this summer, as per The Mirror.
As reported on the news outlet’s website, the Spurs manager plans to talk to the 18-year-old in between his punditry duties for ITV Sport at Euro 2024 regarding a potential transfer.
Gray was close to a £40m move to Brentford, even completing a medical, but Leeds pulled out of the deal due to payment issues. Now, it appears increasingly likely that Gray will be heading to north London on Sunday.
Tottenham is making a concerted effort to secure the deal for Gray, who is highly rated at Leeds. Postecoglou, despite his Euro 2024 commitments, is committed to communicating with the young midfielder about a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The challenge for Postecoglou will be to assure Gray that he will have regular first-team opportunities, considering the competition in the squad. Nevertheless, Spurs are eager to finalize the transfer, indicating that Gray’s switch to a new white kit for next season is imminent.
