Coventry City’s Under-21s squad has welcomed two new faces with the signing of Kai Yearn and Greg Sandiford from Cambridge United.
At just 19 years old, Yearn is a talented midfielder who made his debut for Cambridge United at the tender age of 16. He made history by becoming the club’s youngest scorer in a 4-1 win over Oxford United in the EFL Trophy. After making seven appearances for the U’s, Yearn had stints on loan at Chelmsford City and King’s Lynn Town in the lower leagues.
Sandiford, also 19, is a versatile defender who has primarily played at right-back. He comes to Coventry City’s development side after his contract with Cambridge United expired. Sandiford gained valuable experience during a loan spell at Biggleswade Town and was an unused substitute for Cambridge’s first team during the 2023/24 season.
Both Yearn and Sandiford bring youth, talent, and potential to Coventry City’s ranks, and will no doubt be looking to make their mark in the Under-21s squad.
