TRANSFER BATTLE “We’re in a better position to sign him than Leeds” -Southampton, West Ham, and Newcastle United in cRaZy bidding war for mind-blowing £30m special player Leeds United wants to sign.

Leeds United are keen on signing the highly sought-after Matt O’Riley this summer, but Celtic are determined to hold onto him despite interest from several top clubs.

The 23-year-old midfielder has caught the eye of Leicester City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Southampton, Atletico Madrid, Newcastle United, West Ham, and Chelsea, with a reported price tag of £25-30 million.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has praised O’Riley for his intelligence on the pitch and strong work ethic, stating that he is a valuable asset to the team. The London-born player has been a key figure for Celtic since joining in 2020, scoring 27 goals in 119 appearances.

O’Riley began his career at Fulham before moving to MK Dons, where he caught the attention of Celtic with his performances in League One. Despite interest from Leeds, it seems unlikely that O’Riley will make the move to the Championship this summer.

As Leeds look for midfield reinforcements, they may need to explore other options as they aim to secure promotion next season. Their upcoming matches against Portsmouth and Middlesbrough will be crucial as they continue their campaign.
