WILLY GNONTO TO EVERTON “here we go” -Everton Makes Bold Move to Sign Leeds United Superstar After Year-Long Frustration – Meanwhile, Aston Villa Snatches Up Another Top Target!

Everton has recently made fresh inquiries for Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto after Aston Villa shifted their focus to Hull City’s Jaden Philogene in the wing position.

Last summer, the Toffees were eager to sign 20-year-old Gnonto after their relegation from the Premier League, leading him to hand in a transfer request at the start of the season. Leeds turned down their previous offer of around £25 million, holding out for a higher price of £30 million.

Despite his contract running until 2027 and no renewal yet, Gnonto apologized for initially refusing to play for Leeds in the Championship.

Now, Everton has rekindled their interest in Gnonto as Aston Villa pursues Philogene. The Toffees are also in discussions with Villa over the potential £50 million sale of midfielder Amadou Onana, with personal terms agreed but a deal not finalized yet.

Dele Alli, a free agent, has joined Everton for their training camp in Ireland in hopes of securing a new contract. Everton has reached an agreement with Tottenham to waive any further fees if they offer Alli a new deal. Alli has been sidelined since February 2023 due to a hip and groin injury.

Mail Sport exclusively revealed that the agreement between Everton and Tottenham alleviates the need for a fee for Alli’s contract extension, as per the terms of his transfer to Everton in January 2022. Other clubs, like Arsenal and Manchester United, showed interest but did not pursue a deal.
